As the New Year of 2024 begins, the Jiao Yang research group warmly welcomes two new members, visiting scholar Yan Zixi and undergraduate student Zhang Jilin.

Yan Zixi was born in Qujing City, Yunnan Province, and pursued her undergraduate studies at the School of Pharmacy, Peking University. In 2018, she joined the Jiao Ning research group and was later recommended for a master’s degree in the same group, with Professor Song Song as her supervisor. Her research focused on green and efficient functionalization reactions of aromatic heterocycles, and she obtained a Master of Science degree in 2021. In December 2023, she joined the Jiao Yang research group for exchange and learning, with her research interest being boron radical chemistry.

Zhang Jilin is from Tianjin and graduated from Nankai High School in Tianjin. In 2022, he entered the School of Earth and Space Sciences at Peking University through the chemistry competition based on the Strong Foundation Plan and transferred to the School of Chemistry and Molecular Engineering in his sophomore year. In January 2024, he joined the Jiao Yang research group, with his main research interest being in the supramolecular direction, including the study of novel polymers.
