Prof. Jiao Yang Attended the 20th Beijing & Tianjin Organic Chemistry Salon and Gave an Oral Lecture Entitled “How to Recognize a Radical”.

The Beijing & Tianjin Organic Chemistry Salon was founded and held for the first time in 2003, thanks to not only the joint propose by Professors Zhenfeng Xi, Meixiang Wang and Qilin Zhou, but also the kind advocacy and support from the Chemistry Division, National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC). The Salon aims to introduce and discuss the cutting-edge topics in organic chemistry, in addition to offering suggestions on the research plans raised by new principal investigators. As of last year, the Organic Chemistry Salon had been held for 19 times under the rotating sponsorship and participation of (1) Institute of Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences, (2) Peking University, (3) Nankai University, (4) Tsinghua University and (5) Peking University Health Science Center. Owing to the maintaining style of free discussions and critical comments during the past decades, this series of forums have been well recognized and participated, thus pushing significantly forward the development of organic chemistry research over Beijing and Tianjin regions.

Oct. 4th to 6th, 2023, the 20th Beijing & Tianjin Organic Chemistry Salon was hosted by Nankai University. During the meeting, this academic forum has been reviewed and outlooked for memory of its 20th anniversary. As a new PI, Prof. Jiao Yang attended the Salon, gave an oral lecture entitled “How to Recognize a Radical” and received valuable suggestions from other participants.
