The research group’s first group meeting was successfully held!

On September 12, 2023, the first group meeting since the establishment of Yang Jiao’s research group was finally held successfully. The attendees included Prof. Yang Jiao, postdoctoral fellow Yulin Zhang, research assistant Zhenkai Wang, Ph.D. students Zesheng Li and Hanyuan Liu, as well as postdoctoral fellow Yibin Sun and undergraduate student He Huang who were present as observers. The group meeting consisted of three parts. First,  Zesheng Li and Hanyuan Liu introduced their undergraduate research experiences, with Zesheng Li also proposing some ideas for future work. The students spontaneously asked questions, leading to a lively discussion. Next, Prof. Yang Jiao organized a discussion on some important matters concerning the construction of the research group, including attendance and leave policies, regular group meeting times and formats, duty distribution within the group, and an online reagent management system. The discussion fully utilized the advantages of democratic discussion, and together they established the basic framework for the group’s systems. Finally, everyone shared an “academic” cake made by Hanyuan Liu to commemorate this milestone moment for the research group.
