Yun-Nian, Han-Yuan, Dong-Chen and Qing’s work on cobalt-catalyzed efficient O-deallylation based on oxidative hydrofunctionalization has been published on Green Synthesis and Catalysis.
In this work, we have developed a general and efficient approach for the O-deallylation of allyl ethers and allyl carboxylates based on cobalt hydride HAT catalysts using oxone as a green oxidant. Good chemoselectivity has also been demonstrated with this method.
