On June 1, 2024, Chai Zhengqi from our group successfully defended his doctoral thesis. Chai, a PhD candidate from the Class of 2019 under the guidance of Prof. Zhang, focused his research on the synthesis, structure, and reactivity of rare-earth heterocycles. During his defense, he presented his research achievements and future prospects to the judges, engaging in a comprehensive discussion with them. The judges highly praised Chai's work and provided numerous suggestions for further research. Additionally, Prof. Xi's students Xu Hanhua and Wang Xueli also participated in the defense. The defense committee unanimously passed the doctoral defenses of all three students, recommending that they be awarded the Doctor of Science degree.
